Being an accredited BAS Agent provides clients with a level of comfort that they are being managed and maintained by a business that must abide by the Tax Practitioners Board Code of Professional Conduct. As a registered BAS Agent, Finsync must have completed a minimum number of hours and received a minimum level of education. We are registered with the Tax Practitioners Board and take our obligations as registered BAS agents very seriously.

BAS Preparation & Submission

As a BAS Agent, Finsync can prepare, register and submit your monthly, quarterly, or annual Business Activity Statements depending on your reporting cycle. Finsync manages the necessary elements, including coding transactions, preparing received and paid Goods and Services Tax (GST), Pay as You Go (PAYG) tax withheld for employees and business owners. In addition, the BAS Agent service includes the payment of the Superannuation Guarantee and Fringe Benefits Taxation obligations. Where required, Finsync will partner with your taxation accountant to validate details figures before submission and payment.

Business Registration & ATO Representation

Managing your ABN registration and representing your business with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) from regular dealings to applying for grants and incentives. This service has been a critical focus for bookkeepers over the last couple of years with the introduction of numerous government incentives and wage subsidies due to the Government’s role in stimulating economic growth during the COVID pandemic.

Superannuation SGC

Keeping on top of your Superannuation liability, preparing your SGC obligations, managing payment and reconciliation and administering payments made through to the appropriate clearinghouses. The Superannuation Guarantee increased to 10% on the 1st of July 2021 and will continue to increase incrementally to 12% in 2025. Whilst this is a great thing for employees, business owners must incorporate the increase in the Superannuation expense into future years budgets and pricing estimates.

Finsync’s BAS Agent obligation is to advise you of your rights and responsibilities under the taxation laws on a timely basis and return funds due to you.

As a registered BAS Agent and Professional Bookkeeper, Finsync must maintain a minimum number of hours dedicated to education and learning. We also carry a minimum level of professional indemnity and public liability insurance. The Tax Practitioners Board also offers clients of Finsync a process for complaints management and complaint handling, which is designed to protect you, the business owner.
